Devon Wilson 戴伟

戴伟现为哈佛大学教育学院Project Zero研究助理,同时攻读国际教育政策硕士。戴伟十多年的中美教学经历包括:美丽中国支教项目三年级到六年级英语教师,在此期间设计了教师培训项目和英语课程;陕西师范大学富布赖特学者,研究教育和学习汉语;并在加州大学伯克利分校在一个青年创业非营利组织当过两个学校的项目经理。

Devon is a Project Coordinator for the Interdisciplinary Studies Project at Project Zero and is a graduate of the International Education Policy Master’s Program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Devon has over 10 years of experience working with educational projects in the US and China including serving as 3rd-6th grade teacher; grade level chair; and curriculum writer with Teach for China (美丽中国); and a program manager for a young entrepreneur non-profit through UC Berkeley.

本科以专业排名第一的成绩毕业于北京师范大学教育学专业,现就读哈佛大学教育学院人类发展与心理学硕士。曾领导志愿者社团,并赴内蒙古,四川,浙江等地支教,参与校本课程,项目式学习(PBL),服务-学习,国际理解力,媒介素养等课程设计与开发,立志成为并培养更多自主终身学习者。

Lucheng Wang is a current graduate student in Human Development and Psychology program at HGSE. She graduated from Beijing Normal University with the Bachelor’s Degree of Education. With the passion for human development and curriculum design, she led a volunteer teaching program and went to Inner Mongolia, Sichuan and Zhejiang as a volunteer teacher. She also has experience in curriculum development including school-based curriculum, project-based learning, service-learning, global competence and multi-media literacy. She aspired to become and foster more lifelong active learner in the future.


李立佳 Lijia Li

李立佳 Lijia Li

哈佛教育学院学习与教学(数学教学领导力分支)在读硕士。本科毕业于浙江大学,后赴瑞典Uppsala University深造并获硕士学位。曾担任上海中学国际部生物与数学老师,深受学生爱戴。成长于教师家属大院,她深知教师对一位学生的影响力之深远;关注中美教师资质与培训中的机遇与挑战,她期待本届的教师职业发展特别活动带给大家深度的思考与撞击。

A lifelong learner, a former and future educator, Lijia is an M.Ed. candidate in the Learning and Teaching program(Strand: Instructional Leadership in Math) at Harvard Graduate School of Education. Prior to HGSE, she taught science and math at Shanghai High School International Division and set the school’s record of highest score in students’ anonymous evaluation of all teachers. Growing up in a teacher’s family, Lijia understands the critical role of teachers in each child’s growth; after witnessing teaching and teachers’ issues in China and the United States, she values discussion and wishes to explore practical and meaningful professional development across the countries.

吴诺亚 Nora Wu

吴诺亚 Nora Wu

哈佛大学国际教育政策硕士在读,本科毕业于美国玛卡莱斯特学院应用数学与经济双学位,教育学与公共卫生辅修,北欧世界联合书院全奖录取,在大学期间,她曾在招生办担任国际大使项目协调员,成为学校史上第一位来自中国的面试官。大学毕业后,她在位于华盛顿特区的智库和研究所工作,与联合国开发计划署参与制作了世界第一份全球女性领导力指数报告,并担任可持续发展项目经理。她教过中国山区学生,也教过美国公立学校初高中生。她曾多次参与举办大学生圆桌论坛,世界银行及联合国青年峰会,现在正撰写关于21世纪教师职业发展的相关书籍。

Nora is a current student of International Education Policy at Harvard Graduate School of Education. She graduated from Macalester College, majoring economics and applied math, with minor in education and community and global health concentration. She is also a graduate of Red Cross Nordic United World College. During college, she worked as a Global Ambassadors Program Coordinator at International Admissions, and interviewed over 100 applicants for college admissions. She also worked at think tank and innovation lab in Washington DC area, focusing on global women’s leadership, sustainable development goals and children on the move. She has taught both in China and the U.S., and organized several international roundtables, global youth summits and dialogues. She is currently working on a book chapter on teacher professional development for the 21st century.

    The Edstory storytelling session has been one of the most popular events at the symposium over the last few years.  Each year, 6 people from various fields and backgrounds are invited to share educational related stories. For this event, we use “Education” in a broad sense. This includes formal school-based education, as well as informal educational experiences. We hope that through participant’s stories, audience members can be inspired to think and reflect about the field of education. We hope our stories will promote tolerance, create connections, and guide the audience in exploring a larger world together.

    What are the key characteristics of a 21st – century teacher? What are the typical and atypical “growth paths”? How can we set professional teaching standards and provide differentiated teaching/leadership training to teachers in distinct disciplines and districts? What resources and supports can schools and districts offer? Focusing on one part of the core triangle (teacher, student, and curriculum) in the PELP Coherence Framework, we will invite practitioners and experts from China and the United States to a round-table discussion and explore the answers to the aforementioned questions.
