吴俊东 Jundong Wu
Jundong Wu is a second year Master in Public Policy (MPP) candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School, with a concentration in Education Policy. He founded a nonprofit school for rural migrant workers in Beijing when he was a business major freshmen in the college. The school has served more than 2500 migrant workers up to now. After graduation, he had been working on education innovation and advocacy in the 21st Century Education Research Institute, a leading nonprofit education think tank in China. In the past summer, he worked in an edtech focused venture fund in Beijing, and co-authored the “Global Edtech Entrepreneurship Trend Report”. He is passionate about improving education quality and equity through education technologies and reforms.
朱晓薇 Xiaowei Starry Zhu
Starry Zhu is currently a master’s candidate in the Language and Literacy program at HGSE. With an ardent passion in linguistics and education, she pursued an undergraduate degree in English education in Hong Kong and graduated with a first-honors degree. After that, she became a registered teacher and was fully committed to English language teaching and curriculum development at the secondary level in Hong Kong. In the meantime, she also obtained her first master’s degree in Applied English Linguistics at CUHK and won the Academic Excellence Award. In addition to English education, her professional interests also encompass a broad range of areas, such as global citizenship education and leadership development. As a firm believer of boundary-less learning, she seeks to integrate the development of global competency and international perspective in bilingual education.

庄秋玲 Qiuling Zhuang
Education, with concentration in International Education Policy. Prior to HGSE, she obtained the degrees of sociology and economics from Peking University. As a leader in a voluntary teaching program in a primary school of migrant children and vocational high schools in early university years, she realized the educational inequality faced by disadvantaged groups in China. Her internship in Ministry of Education, UNDP and Burson-Marsteller enables her to further explore the relationship between education and policy, social enterprises and business. To further academically understand social problems, she co-authored a book about social problems with a PKU professor specializing in educational sociology. Right now, she is exploring the integration of technology in education by having internship in Intel and Harvard Innovation Lab, as well as learning basic computer science.

焦念韬 Joey Niantao Jiao
Niantao is a current master student of the Technology, Innovation and Education program at Harvard Graduate School of Education. He graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a double major in Psychology and Economics in 2015. He has devoted to education industry and worked as a writing instructor in New Oriental Technology & Education Group since 2012, with plentiful curriculum design and teaching experience. In the meantime, he started to probe all the possibilities of the incorporation of technology into education and follow up the news of ed-tech entrepreneurship.

刘妍 Yan Liu
Yan is currently a first year student in the MDes program specializing in Risk & Resilience at Graduate School of Design (GSD), Harvard. Before that, she worked in several Arcitecture and Urban Design consulting firms including in Singapore, Boston, Paris and Hong Kong for almost two years. She has been extremely interested in projects focusing on urban risks and conflicts, disaster prevention and reduction, post-disaster humanitarian aid, and the like. Her design research has delved into several non-profit projects including informal settlements upgrading in Ecuador, post-earthquake emergency reconstruction in Nepal, flooding mitigation program in Southeast Asia, among others. She has been in close connection with the World Bank and Habitat for Humanity when doing field trips in Southeast Asia and South America. During this period, she has been extremely interested in issues about education equity, civil education and education in crisis areas.

朱筠 Yun Zhu
Yun Zhu is a first year master student in Harvard Chan school of Public Health. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College, the oldest women college in the United States in 2016. During her college years, she founded “China in Letters” and tried to develop a unique platform for academic research and cultural exchange among college students of different backgrounds. By researching vintage letters, this platform introduces them to the history and culture of China in a vibrant and picturesque way. Her professional interests include health education and communication, innovative and design thinking, sustainable development etc. She hopes everyone should see him or herself as a positive change maker.
